Re-Surfacing the Table : CNC Router

1) Details the proper steps to resurface the CNC Router’s SpoilBoard/Table

i) Load the Surfacing Bit into a Tool Cone

(1) The surfacing bit is about 2.5” in diameter and located in the Tool Chest within the CNC Router Room.

ii) Retrieve the Surfacing Tool

(1) Load the Bit into one of the multiple bit library tool positions

(2) Pick the bit up by typing into the command prompt within the WinCNC Interface. To pick up bits, type the letter ‘T’, followed by the corresponding number tool you are looking for. i.e. ‘T5’picks up tool number five.

iii) File open:

(1) Find the [.nc] File under: dFAB DropBox – CNC Router/01 Monitors/00 dFab Admin/Equipment/RESURFACE_spoilboard.nc

iv) Turn the Dust Collector ‘ON’

v) Press ‘Enter’; two times to begin the Resurfacing

(1) Job will take about 5-12 minutes to complete. When finished, YOU MUST RE-CALIBRATE THE TABLE HEIGHT. These instructions are available on the website under ‘PROCEDURES’, titled: ‘Re-Calibrate’
